PayHere instalments is a service offered by PayHere which allows merchants to offer instalment schemes to their payers who are credit cardholders. PayHere Instalment Plans is a service available for PayHere Merchants who have their Sampath Bank business account connected with their PayHere Account. If your business requires this service, then you can get a Sampath Bank account connected to your PayHere account. (If you already have a PayHere account, you can call our hotline to check how you can change the bank account to use this service.)
Here’s how PayHere Instalments work.

PayHere Instalment Plans is available in the left panel of the dashboard.
Banks Supported
If the customer making the payment is a credit cardholder of the following banks, they are able to pay using the instalment schemes offered, based on the final order values.

Instalment Plan Types Offered
The plans offered have different time durations as seen in the INSTALMENT PLAN column. The credit cardholder can pay in either 3 months, 6 months or 12 months according to the plans enabled by the merchant.
Enabling the Plans to the Customers
The merchant can enable or disable the toggle button in the STATUS column to offer the instalment schemes to the customers.
Payout for the merchant
The merchant will receive the net amount as usual according to the payout cycle. The merchant will not incur any additional fee for enabling the PayHere Instalment Plan.
Example: If the price of the product/ service is LKR 20,000 and the customer has selected the HNB 3 months plan, the distribution will be as below;
- The merchant will receive LKR 20,000 minus the payment processing fee as payouts in T+2 bank working days to the merchant’s bank account.
- The credit cardholder will be charged LKR 6,666.66 per month in the applicable 3 months from their credit card.
(If a credit card interest charge/ FEE TO CUSTOMER is applicable, it will also be charged by the respective bank from the cardholder’s credit card. The credit card interest fee is not applicable to the merchant)
Payment limit/ value range
The instalment plan will be shown to the customer if the price to be paid by the customer at the checkout is within the value ranges shown in the LIMIT column of the PayHere Merchant Dashboard.
Payment limit/ value range and currency
The instalment plans will not be available for payments denoted by the merchant in USD, GBP, Euro and AUD. This facility is only valid for payments denoted in LKR.
