If your customers are asking you why they have to keep entering all the payment details every time they make a payment, you’ve got to start using PayHere Tokenization.
Tokenization exists to ensure that sensitive information is replaced by equivalent nonsensitive information. Basically, a token sits in the place of the actual information. Remember getting a token for food when you went to an event? You provided all the details when registering at the event and then the event organizers gave you a token such that at lunchtime, you didn’t have to take all your identity verification documents with you to the canteen! Tokens for the win!
Here’s how it works for PayHere payments.
- For example, a customer visits your website and attempts to make a payment.
- That customer will manually enter their card credentials only once and pre-approve your business to automatically charge their card on future payments. (For Visa and Mastercard only) (Available for PayHere Premium Merchants only)
- Now, you will receive an encrypted token for that customer’s card after the pre-approval, which can be stored in your database securely. (It’s token time!)
- After that pre-approval process, you, as the merchant can charge that customer; any amount at any given time using that encrypted token for the product or service they demand. Sounds like a hassle-free taxi ride!
Now no finger has to fear a jog! A token jogs for them (for free!).
